ContractDelta

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy is issued by ContractDelta LLC (“ContractDelta,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy applies to both the ContractDelta Chrome extension and the ContractDelta website located at contractdelta.com (together, “the Service”).

1. What We Collect

• Email address (trial signup and subscription)
• Usage data, including comparison count, subscription status, and contract size (character count only — not contract content)
• For scanned documents processed via OCR: processing metadata (confidence score, page count, filename)
• Payment information processed by Stripe (we store only your Stripe customer ID)
• Support communications
• Terms of Service and Privacy Policy agreement record (timestamp of acceptance, associated with your account)

2. What We Do Not Permanently Store

ContractDelta does not permanently store uploaded contracts on its own servers. Contract files are processed in memory and discarded immediately after results are returned. The full text of your uploaded contracts is transmitted to Anthropic’s Claude API for analysis and may be handled according to Anthropic’s commercial data retention policies (see Section 4).

3. How We Use Your Information

• Deliver contract comparison results
• Send transactional emails (magic link, account notifications, policy update notices)
• Process subscription payments
• Monitor usage to gauge API costs and inform fair-use and pricing decisions
• Respond to support inquiries

We do not sell personal information. We do not use information for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

Anthropic — The full text of your uploaded contracts is transmitted to Anthropic’s Claude API for analysis. Under Anthropic’s commercial API policies, submitted content is not used to train Anthropic’s AI models by default. See anthropic.com/privacy.

Stripe — Payment processing. See stripe.com/privacy.

Resend — Transactional email delivery. See resend.com/privacy.

Zoho — Support inbox. See zoho.com/privacy.

Where required by applicable law, we maintain data processing agreements with our third-party service providers governing the processing of personal data on our behalf.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Website (contractdelta.com): We use privacy-first, cookieless analytics tools to understand aggregate site usage. These tools do not use tracking cookies and do not collect personally identifiable browsing data across other websites.

Chrome Extension: The extension itself does not use tracking cookies. It processes files locally in your browser session and transmits contract text only as needed to generate your comparison results.

6. Data Retention

Account information and usage metadata are retained while your account is active. Deletion requests are honored within 30 days of request. Deleted data may persist briefly in encrypted backup systems for disaster-recovery purposes and is fully purged from backups within the same 30-day window. Contract content is never retained (see Section 2).

7. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and any required regulatory authorities in accordance with applicable law.

8. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you’ve signed up for), legitimate interest (to monitor usage, prevent abuse, and improve the Service), and consent (where you have affirmatively agreed, such as accepting these policies at signup). ContractDelta LLC acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the Service, as defined under GDPR.

9. Your Rights

GDPR: If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact support@contractdelta.com to exercise these rights. We will respond to your request within one month, as required under GDPR.

CCPA: If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information. Exercising your privacy rights will not result in discriminatory treatment. Contact support@contractdelta.com to exercise these rights.
